Double page spread final

This is my final Double page spread. I made a few changes from my first draft. For my first page I edited the picture on Photoshop and used the same background as my contents page to fit in with my house style. Instead of starting the interview on the first DPS I just put in a big masthead with "Belle Amie" being visible in red. For my second DPS I used the same text from my first draft and the same images with a couple more added. Also at the bottom of each page I put the page number and website.

I added some pull quotes in and added images of the girls separately. This is more attractive for the audience and gets them to recognise each singer separately.

I added writing to my DPS cover page. I put the name of the group in different coloured writing to make it stand out.

I put an image on the top of the right page along with some more questions. The image stands out and makes it look polished.

On the right side of the page I added a Twitter takeover section in a purple box, this makes it stand out and appealing to the audience.

This is the double page spread. I have added writing to the left side of the page. It is an interview so the questions are highlighted with a black background to make them stand out. I have added drop caps to the start of the paragraphs to make it look professional

This is my cover page for my double page spread, I have added the image on the left hand side and I will add writing to the other half.

Final Contents page

This is my Final Contents page.

I added a couple more photos to the contents to make it more fuller looking. I also changed the fonts of the subheadings.

I also made a few changes to my contents page. I made the contents masthead spread right across the page and I made the issue number smaller. I took out the second image of my featured artist and also I took out a Twitter Takeover because one was enough. I change the font and colour of the writing but I kept the actual content the same. I added a background to make the text and images stand out more.

Final cover page

This is my final cover page. I made a good few changes from my first draft because I wanted it to be appealing to the eye. I used Photoshop to crop the image and the masthead.

I added the same slogan and also added some more cover lines so the page would be filled

I changed the font for the girl band name as I thought this one would be more appealing.

I also changed my title as I thought this one would stand out more. I added the same cover lines in     but I changed the font to make it stand out more and look more appealing

For my final cover page I decided to change the image as the other one was slightly blurry. I edited the background out and made my own plus sign. I kept the barcode and social media logos but I moved them to the other side of the page. I also kept the skyline at the top of the page.

First draft of DPS- created on indesign

This is the first page for my double page spread. I placed a image the size of the page on the left side to show that this is about them. again the black and white colour scheme is coming through and I done the pull quote in purple. I think the pull quote at the start would intrigue the audience into reading the whole article.

I added a caption under the pull quote just to explain to the audience what this double page spread consists of and I done it in black, bold font to make it stand out.

This is m second page of my double page spread. At the top of this page I put the name of the girl group in white writing and I added 3 pictures of them down the side. This creates a fun side and colour into the magazine.

I put a purple box at the top of the page for the questions from the readers to the group. This feature would be a popular element with the younger audience.

At the bottom of the page I added another pull quote from the interview which again would appeal to the audience and make them want to read more.

On the second half of the page I added the text which was the interview and another pull quote which I placed at the bottom of the page.

This is the first page of my double page spread with all the text added. I did the questions in a bold font to make it stand out more.

This is my second page of my double page spread with all the text added. I completed my double page spread on InDesign as it was easy when writing the article with the three columns I added.

First draft of contents page

Construction for contents page

I added a regulars section in with all the things that feature every month. One of the regulars was a twitter takeover so along the left hand side of the page I added two purple text boxes with the featured artist and the hashtag. This section would appeal to the young audience as social media is involved.

For the second part of the contents page I added a subscribe section at the top of the page with a thumbnail image of the front cover. I also added a picture of another artist to give a variety of people featuring in the magazine. I put page numbers in the photos so the audience can access the article quicker and it is the purple font.

I have added all the features text in and I have added a red bar under the subheading part. this is to make the text stand out so the audience will read it. I also added another image of the featured artist because it will let the audience know that this girl group features throughout the magazine.

I added a review section at the bottom of the page. Again I did the title in a red colour and the text in a purple colour as  though this colour would fit in with my magazine colour scheme and make it stand out even more. The picture also stands out in the magazine and adds even more colour.

I added one picture of the featured artist and kept the black and white colour scheme going. I added a sub heading in red font to make it stand out and fit in with the house style.

I added a black bar across the top of the page to make the masthead stand out more. I used the same font for my masthead on the front cover to create a house style for my magazine

First draft of my cover page

Contruction work on coverpage

This is my fisrt drfat of my cover page. I have added all the coverlines and stuck with the colour scheme black and white. I place the coverlines down the right hand side of the page as they are seen visably.

I have added the name of the group in a bright red colour so it would stand out to readers and match in well with the black and white.

This is my first stage in construction, it is my photo and masthead. The colour scheme I am using is black and white and my coverlines will be in colour.
